At times, life throws very difficult situations, one such is when I started using a “chocolate” soap. Made with cocoa, it smells and looks edible, but NO we cannot. The maximum we can do is, use it as skin food 😥 😛
Here you go, I present you the almost edible “Chocolate toning soap”, yet another promising product from Instaglam 🙂
Instaglam, a brand based out of Mumbai, has a wide range of beauty and skincare products. I’ve tried and reviewed their “Lavender Patchouli After Bath Body Glow Oil”, here.
Don’t forget to read it too! 🙂 I’ve also mentioned about the brand, Instaglam, in that article!

I fairly had an idea that cocoa powder helped in skin cell repair and skin rejuvenation; but this is the first such cocoa soap I used with an additional advantage of no chemicals. A product which can pass any candy shop for a chocolate, looked really pretty and so was its fragrance. I could smell and see only pure chocolate.
Why did I try this soap, given that generally my skin is very dry and is prone to quick reactions?
I read Instaglam’s post about the new launch, the chocolate soap, I paid attention to the ingredients which were mentioned and the moment I read “Goat Milk extracts, cocoa powder”, I decided I’d give it a try.
With what confidence? Read further 🙂
Goat milk is generally known as a life saver for dry skin and has unique nourishing properties for skin. it is a versatile ingredient in skin and hair care with abundant benefits. Secondly, I had already tried Instaglam’s body oil already and found it suitable on my skin. Hence, a direct plunge to dark chocolate soap’s trial.
Dark chocolate, on the other hand prevents skin from drying out and sunburn.
Infused with essential oils, my first impression when I started using it on my face was that, it did not sting on my skin nor cause any break out. With regular use in the evenings, I could feel the freshness and the fragrance. It foams gently (which did not harm) and post face wash, the skin is soft and gives a subtle healthy brightness.
I also used it for the whole body and I did not encounter any problem at all 🙂 For a chocolate lover like me, it turned out to give a mind calming bath experience (especially during periods, I try to use chocolate or lavender soap! It really helps to calm senses). *I warn you beforehand, your chocolate craving might increase after bath :P* And not just that, the milk extracts and chocolate extracts ensure to nourish and moisturize skin.
Overall, a very good experience with this pocket friendly soap. And if you guys are interested to know if I would go back to this soap again, it is a yes. 🙂
It is a delight to skin and senses! ❤
